Automation Logic is working on a conveyor belt from legacy to future technology. They are guiding the development teams to move things more cloud-based so they’re ready to move into the future environment. Ultimately improving the platform for the migration from data centre to AWS. The migration project is focused on modernisation, managing patching and updates via automation and reducing overall hosting and maintenance costs.
AL also provides 3rd-line support at LAA, working within a wider team as a part of the releases process as well as providing advice and mentoring. The core WebOps team is Agile and is made up predominantly of AL engineers, working with a DM and product manager to help deliver a mixture of project and BAU tasks.
AL worked to successfully migrate all legacy LAA applications from 2 major IT service providers. These applications are now fully operational in the AWS environment and the data centre has been turned off resulting in high annual cost savings.
The AL team has provided the LAA with a modern scalable platform that has seen benefits from improved cost of ownership, management overhead and improved relliency and DR capability.
